An interesting question. There are so many ways to make coffee: machines, beans, strengths.
I like a lightly roasted Kenyan bean, brewed using gravity, such as a drip filter using a ratio of 50g coffee to 1 litre of water.
Machines which use higher pressure squeeze out more of the flavour into your cup, but I find those extra flavours taste a bit rubbery (think car tyres) and I don’t like that.
Some people like really dark roasted coffees and prefer the flavour of beans from different countries. It is really a personal preference.
I think that the science of flavour and understanding how we taste is fascinating.
