• Question: If you discover a problem - e.g. a factory is polluting the river - how would you stop them and clean it again?

      problems like accidental (or sometimes unthinking ) pollution are reported to the Environment Agency, as they have the powers to enforce a company or landowner to stop the problem activity. Then depending on the nature of the problem, we will assist with clearing – if it is rubbish or such as floating oil, sewage etc, that can be trapped to a certain extent and cleared out, but for the most part it is letting the river recover itself…
