Most plants have approximately the same impact on the environment per kg.
Let’s compare a cup of coffee and a cup of tea – without milk or sugar! Both use the same amount of water, so the only difference is the tea or coffee that we add.
To make a cup of tea uses about 2g of tea leaves and coffee uses about 7g of fresh roasted coffee. So tea will have the lower environmental impact as we use less of the plant per cup.
