      No humans have ever been to the real planet Mars. We have sent a number of rovers and other vehicles to the Martian surface: Viking I and II. Pathfinder, Opportunity, Spirit, Curiosity, Insight and Perseverance is on her way, landing later this month.
      Sending humans is a really big challenge. It would take about 9 – 12 months to get there and the first trips will likely be one-way trips and you will need people who will be able to work together safely. Then there is the challenge of setting up home on a planet inhospitable to human life…
      I would love to go, but it will not happen for me!
